Weighed in at 207.0 today. Guess I have plateaued. I was hoping to get down to 205. oh well. I am ready to be off the juice. I get so tired at night! Usually, after I put our daughter to bed at 9pm, I have some energy to work outside in the garage, or maybe even yoga, but I think the juicing requires maximum relaxation and calorie retention. It would take a day or two more to completely be used to it, so I feel that it would be impractical to be on juice all the time. I like how I feel today, however. I was experiencing some extreme cravings yesterday. Here is what I was yearning for: Western Bacon Cheeseburger from Carls Jr (haven’t had one of those since 1994), sushi, a Ploughman’s Lunch with a Pint at Horse Brass Pub, A Whole Bowl , Lebanese feast at Nicholas’ restaurant, Apizza Scholls pizza, a regular old ham sandwich, and a big ass pretzel from Edelweiss deli. Basically, bread and meat.
It takes a more creative chef than I to come up with better juices. I know there are recipes out there and such, but there are only so many carrot/celery/tomato/apple juices I can drink, they all are tasting the same now. I made a nice pineapple/watermelon/lime drink for breakfast this morning, that was deeelish. I like the idea of continuing breakfast juices, that save alot of time in the morning. I think I might do that.
So today it will end. I will try not to gorge myself later…I do have a plan already though. Straight after work I am going to go get a Whole Bowl, grab a beer from the fridge and go over to our friend Erin’s house for dinner. I am not sure what she is cooking, but I wanted to make sure and have a Whole Bowl just in case it wasn’t ready when I arrived. Thanks for cooking us dinner, Erin!
I know for sure if I continued, it would get easier from here on out. Today, the energy levels are great…I feel clear headed and am able to focus. But I also see the light at the end of the tunnel. If I knew I was continuing, it would be depressing to me for sure. So I am thankful it is over.
As far as costs go, total grocery bill for the week was around $150. That is normally what we spend every week, so no surprises there. As far as time goes though, it was a much less stressful way to eat. It takes minutes to make a nice juice, where chopping and preparing stuff for a salad takes much longer. I will miss the extra time I had this week.
Losing 6 pounds in five days is pretty good, I am happy with that. I can feel my ribs under my shirt and noticed that my pants are baggier this morning. Just hope I don’t gain it back.
Now, back to your regular scheduled programming. Let the dust collect again on the juicer.
mmmm can’t wait….
BN Out!
